Sautéed Okra (Pan-Fried Perfection)

Ingredients :


  • 2 cups Pianta Zero Okra (Frozen)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or ghee
  • Garlic (minced), salt, pepper, and lemon juice

Steps :


  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add frozen okra directly (no thawing).
  • Stir-fry for 8–10 minutes until lightly golden and tender.
  • Add garlic, salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.

Okra Stew (Middle Eastern Style - Bamia)

Ingredients :


  • 1 cup Pianta Zero Okra (Frozen)
  • 200g cubed beef or lamb
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 cups beef broth or water
  • Salt, pepper, coriander, and lemon

Steps :


  • Sauté onions and garlic in a pot until golden.
  • Add beef and brown lightly.
  • Mix in tomato paste and spices. Cook for 2–3 mins.
  • Add Pianta okra and broth. Simmer for 25–30 mins until meat and okra are tender.
  • Finish with lemon juice and serve with rice.
Okra Stew (Middle Eastern Style - Bamia)

Roasted Zero Okra (Modern & Healthy)

Ingredients :


  • 500g Pianta Zero Okra (String-Free) – frozen
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt & freshly ground black pepper – to taste
  • Fresh lemon wedges – for serving

Steps :


  • Set your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Place the frozen Zero Okra in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle smoked paprika, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss well until all pieces are evenly coated.
  • Spread the okra in a single layer on the baking tray. Roast for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and lightly crispy on the edges.
  • Transfer to a serving plate, squeeze fresh lemon juice on top, and serve as a healthy side dish, snack, or part of a mezze platter.
